Once again, it’s time for our weekly recap of what’s been happening in the AHL with LA’s prospects.
The following reports are from games played through end of day Sunday, October 30th.
ONTARIO REIGN (AHL)
Due to the Ontario Reign featuring a large volume of LA Kings prospects this season, each tracker will feature a select number of them on a rotating basis – largely culled from key performances for the prior week.
The Reign went down to the wire with both the Barracuda and the Condors this week, coming away with wins in both by a difference of one. Each game had a shot differential of one as well.
Aiden Dudas, Center (113th overall in 2018)
2022-2023 Stats: 4 goals, 1 assist, plus-6, 6 PIM in 7 games played
Coming down the left side, Dudas pulled up at the circle to freeze the goaltender before picking the corner short side for the game-winner against the Condors. He is currently tied for the team lead in goals.

Akil Thomas, Center (51st overall in 2018)
2022-2023 Stats: 4 goals, 2 assists, plus-5, 6 PIM in 7 games played
Thomas rightfully earned First Star of the Game against Bakersfield, scoring twice from the slot. He would pick the top left corner for his first, electing to shoot rather than pass as the bumper man on the powerplay. His second would be scored after finding a loose puck in the slot. He is tied with Dudas and Fagemo for the team lead in goals.
Akil Thomas ties the game at 1 with a power play goal!

Taylor Ward, Right Wing (FA signing in 2022)
2022-2023 Stats: 2 goals, 1 assist, plus-1, 2 PIM in 7 games played
Ward’s game-winner against the Barracuda would come after walking into the slot and patiently waiting to release the puck into the top right corner of the net.

Jacob Moverare, LH Defenseman (112th overall in 2016)
2022-2023 Stats: 0 goals, 2 assists, even plus/minus, 0 PIM in 4 games played
Moverare had a two-assist game against the Condors, earning him the Second Star of the Game. His first would be a long stretch pass from his own zone to start an offensive push, while his second would be a chip up the boards to Dudas for the game-winner.
Wagner makes it 3-1 #Reign with his second goal of the season!
