RD1, GAME 6: Kings Projected Lineup vs. Oilers; Slight Change for Potential Series Clincher

May 12, 2022 By MayorsManor Staff

For the first time since 2014, the Kings are looking to close out a playoff series. It all goes down tonight in Downtown LA. Coming off of back-to-back wins in Games 4 and 5, the Kings are now aiming to make it three in a row vs. the Oilers and, in turn, punch their ticket to Round 2.

All-time records in Game 6:

– Kings are 9-1 when leading a series 3-2
– Oliers are 2-6 lifetime when trailing a series 2-3

Edmonton’s Zack Kassian has been fined $5,000, the maximum allowable under the CBA, for Cross-checking Los Angeles’ Sean Durzi.

Only one, slight lineup change is expected from coach Todd McLellan for Game 6. Based on the configuration at morning skate earlier today, it appears he will flip Andreas Athanasiou and Brendan Lemieux at LW3/LW4.

D appears to be the same as Game 5
