Very proud of my KINGS, I am looking forward to great seasons ahead.
Same here. Going into the season, my most optimistic-but-realistic prediction is that they would make the playoffs and then probably lose respectably in the first round. Which is what happened — but you know what? With better injury luck (i.e., with Doughty and//or Arvidsson healthy) I think they would have wrangled Edmonton and maybe Calgary as well. Only disappointment is that they couldn’t make one last deep playoff run for Brownie.
I don’t know that anyone expected Danault to have the impact that he had. He’s so much fun to watch, and he seems like one of those plug-and-play team leader guys. The Kings ought to have “No Regression” t-shirts ready for everyone by training camp.
