LA Kings Projected Lineup vs. Chicago Blackhawks; Alex Edler Birthday Celebration

April 21, 2022 By MayorsManor Staff

Four more to go; that’s what remains on the 2021-22 regular season.

‘Hey Alex Edler, how would you like to celebrate your 36th birthday tonight?’

‘With a win, putting us one step closer to the playoffs.’

While that’s not an actual conversation that took place at Kings morning skate earlier today, it easily could have. Up by three points in the standings, with only the aforementioned games remaining, LA has a very legitimate shot to qualify for post-season play. And for the now 36-year old Edler, what could possibly be a better present?

Standing in their way later tonight will be the Chicago Blackhawks. After earning a season split thus far — picking up a win earlier this month, following a shootout loss last month — earning two points could go a long way toward the team’s current goal.

Three players have something in common over the previous two games; Chicago’s Patrick Kane, along with LA’s Phillip Danault and Trevor Moore both scored for LA. Can the trio make it an odd hat trick of sorts and all do it again tonight?

VIEW FROM THE OTHER SIDE

Derek King on Delia getting his third start against the Kings in the past month: "Well, he has to spend so much money on tickets, we feel obligated to play him. I don’t think anybody’s coming, he just tells us he’s got family in town." https://t.co/lGGKG7OtBa
