Regardless of where the two teams sit in the standings, there is perhaps no better rivalry in the AHL then San Diego vs. Ontario.
With a 6-2 win at home on Tuesday, the Reign punched their ticket for the 2022 postseason. As the season winds down, they now have their sights set on a first-place finish in the Pacific Division. Entering the weekend, they are six points behind Stockton, so time is of the essence.
Unfortunately, they will have to play the first of back-to-back games without leading goal scorer, Martin Frk. He is currently injured, with a status of day-to-day.
Meanwhile, the Reign did make a goaltending move earlier today:
Kings goalie prospect Lukas Parik has been recalled to AHL Ontario.
The Reign play tonight in AD and tomorrow at home.
Who is Parik?
