Head coach Todd McLellan remains in protocol, so Trent Yawney will once again serve as LA’s bench boss.

Brendan Lemieux is expected to miss today’s game after suffering an apparent leg injury vs. the Blue Jackets.

Leg injury. He was visibly in pain on the bench and hobbled off to the locker room. https://t.co/STwVyjUVXI

As for who replaced Lemieux on the fourth line, it will be either Carl Grundstrom or Andreas Athanasiou.

VIEW FROM THE OTHER SIDE

A Sabres game without coverage from Joe Yerdon just isn’t the same. Please send him an encouraging message on Twitter.

I am home with my family. My mother passed away yesterday due to myelodysplastic syndrome, a very rare kind of blood cancer. For 3 years she fought. I am deeply heartbroken.

I ask for people to donate to @MDSFoundation @RedCross and @AmericanCancer for what they do.

KINGS MILESTONES WITHIN REACH

Anze Kopitar — needs 20 points to pass Dave Taylor for third on the Kings all-time scoring list

Dustin Brown — 5 goals away from passing Bernie Nicholls for fifth place in Kings franchise history

Puck drop is scheduled for 10:00am PST today and the game will be televised on Bally Sports Network.
