Anaheim Ducks Weekly Prospect Tracker, Week Ending March 27, 2022

Let’s take a look at the Anaheim Ducks prospect pipeline. High draft positions the last few years has yielded a number of talented prospects, which bodes well for the Ducks as they begin rebuilding the team in earnest.

SAN DIEGO GULLS (AHL)

Jacob Perreault, Right Wing (27th overall in 2020)

2021 season:
AHL-San Diego: 13 goals, 23 assists, minus-2, 55 PIM in 48 games played.
NHL-Anaheim: 0 goals, 0 assists, minus-1, 0 PIM in 1 game played.

Perreault is in the best stretch of the season, tallying three goal and five assists in four games. Point streak has reached seven games now, the last four of which are multi-point efforts.

Brayden Tracey, Right Wing (29th overall in 2019)

2021 season:
AHL-San Diego: 11 goals, 18 assists, plus-4, 35 PIM in 47 games played.
NHL-Anaheim: 0 goals, 0 assists, minus-1, 0 PIM in 1 game played.

Tracey picked up a goal and an assist in four games played.

Lukáš Dostál, Goaltender (85th overall in 2018)

2021 season:
AHL-San Diego: 16-10-0, 2.46 GAA, .921 save pct, 2 shutouts in 29 games played.
NHL-Anaheim: 1-2-0, 2.98 GAA, .907 save pct in 4 games played.

Dostál grabbed a win in his lone start of the week for the Gulls. Recalled by the Ducks and started on Saturday, where he stopped 20 of 24 shots in a loss to the Sharks.

CANADIAN JUNIOR HOCKEY

Tyson Hinds, QMJHL-Rimouski/Sherbrooke, Defenseman (76th overall in 2021)

2021 season: 10 goals, 17 assists, plus-25, 30 PIM in 45 games played.

Scored a goal and picked up an assist in three games played.

Sasha Pastujov, OHL-Guelph, Left Wing (66th overall in 2021)

2021 season: 31 goals, 36 assists, minus-18, 31 PIM in 56 games played.

Pastujov tallied two goals in three games played. Had a 9 game point streak snapped on Sunday.

Mason McTavish, OHL-Peterborough, Center (3rd overall in 2021)

2021 season:
OHL-Peterborough/Hamilton: 14 goals, 19 assists, plus-19, 21 PIM in 21 games played.
IIHF-Team Canada: 0 goals, 1 assist, plus-1, 2 PIM in 5 games played.
NHL-Anaheim: 2 goals, 1 assist, plus-3, 2 PIM in 9 games played.
AHL-San Diego: 1 goal, 1 assist, plus-1, 4 PIM in 3 games played.

Another productive week, with a goal and five assists in 3 games played. Averaging 1.59 points per game, good for seventh overall in the league.

Gage Alexander, WHL-Winnipeg, Goaltender (148th overall in 2021)

2021 season: 18-7, 2.40 GAA, .911 save pct, 2 shutouts in 29 games played.

Did not play in any of the scheduled games. Status is week-to-week with a lower body injury.

Sean Tschigerl, WHL-Calgary, Left Wing (130th overall in 2021)

2021 season: 20 goals, 32 assists, plus-2, 35 PIM in 60 games played.

Credited with an assist in two games played.

Olen Zellweger, WHL-Everett, Defenseman (34th overall in 2021)

2021 season: 12 goals, 59 assists, plus-46, 21 PIM in 50 games played.

Zellweger remains hot collecting four more assists in two games played. Continues to lead all CHL defensemen in scoring. Named WHL Player of the Week.

Kyle Kukkonen, USHL-Madison, Michigan Tech commit, Center (162nd overall in 2021)

2021 season: 19 goals, 27 assists, plus-3, 38 PIM in 50 games played.

Did not play in the one scheduled game this week due to illness.

Ethan Bowen, BCHL-Chilliwack, North Dakota commit, Left Wing (207th overall in 2020),

2021 season: 18 goals, 25 assists, 43 PIM in 39 games played.

Bowen finished up the regular season collecting three assists in the final two games.

NCAA COLLEGE

Sam Colangelo, Hockey East-Northeastern (So), Right Wing (36th overall in 2020)

2021 season: 12 goals, 15 assists, plus-8, 18 PIM in 29 games played.

Credited with an assist in Northeastern’s loss in the NCAA Tournament. Colangelo’s season is over.

Josh Lopina, Hockey East-UMass (So), Center (98th overall in 2021)

2021 season: 12 goals, 15 assists, plus-21, 8 PIM in 27 games played.

No points in UMass’ loss in the NCAA Tournament. Signed a 3-year ELC with the Ducks on Sunday and will report to AHL San Diego on an ATO.

News: We have signed Josh Lopina to an entry-level contract.
He will report to @SDGullsAHL on an amateur tryout (ATO) for the remainder of this season.

Henry Thrun, ECAC-Harvard (Jr), Defenseman (101st overall in 2019)

2021 season: 7 goals, 25 assists, plus-9, 10 PIM in 35 games played.

No points in Harvard’s loss in the NCAA Tournament. Thrun’s season is over. Currently tied for sixth nationally in defenseman scoring.

Ian Moore, ECAC-Harvard (Fr), Defenseman (67th overall in 2020)

2021 season: 2 goals, 13 assists, plus-16, 10 PIM in 35 games played.

No points in Harvard’s loss in the NCAA Tournament. Moore’s season is over.

Trevor Janicke, B1G-Notre Dame (Jr), Center (132nd overall in 2019)

2021 season: 15 goals, 9 assists, plus-5, 14 PIM in 40 games played.

Did not score any points in two NCAA Tournament games, the last of which is a loss. Janicke’s season is over

Blake McLaughlin, B1G-Minnesota (Sr), Left Wing (79th overall in 2018)

2021 season: 13 goals, 20 assists, plus-9, 35 PIM in 38 games played.

Blake scored a goal in two NCAA Tournament games. Currently second on the team in scoring.

Jackson LaCombe, B1G-Minnesota (Jr), Defenseman (39th overall in 2019)

2021 season: 3 goals, 27 assists, plus-25, 12 PIM in 38 games played.

Credited with an assist in two NCAA Tournament games. Tied for second most assists among all defensemen nationally.

Jack Perbix, B1G-Minnesota (Jr), Center (116th overall in 2018)

2021 season: 5 goals, 7 assists, plus-3, 18 PIM in 37 games played.

No points in two NCAA Tournament games.

Will Francis, NCHC-Minnesota-Duluth (Fr), Defenseman (163rd overall in 2019)

2021 season: 0 goals, 0 assists, minus-2, 2 PIM in 5 games played.

Did not play this week, healthy scratch. Duluth lost on Saturday in the NCAA Tournament, Francis’ season is over.

EUROPE

Artyom Galimov, KHL-Ak Bars Kazan, Center (129th overall in 2020)

2021 season:
Regular season: 7 goals, 15 assists, plus-3, 18 PIM in 47 games played.
Playoffs: 1 goal, 0 assists, even, 4 PIM in 6 games played.

Albin Sundsvik, SHL-Skellefteå, Center (160th overall in 2020)

Champions HL-Sweden: 4 goals, 2 assists, plus-3, 2 PIM in 7 games played.
