With an assist on the second goal, Kings prospect Jordan Spence picked up point 31 on the season and continues to lead all rookie defensemen in the AHL.
On the scoreboard, things became interesting late, as the Gulls came back to get a pair of goals in the third period — including one with less than three minutes remaining in regulation, cutting the Reign lead to 4-3. However, Ontario did what they needed to do to secure their 26th win of the season and push their record to 6-3-1 over the past 10 games.
Now, the scene shifts to the Inland Empire, as the two teams will square off in an afternoon tilt on Sunday.
