It’s time to take a lap around the globe and check in on the LA Kings prospects playing in various leagues. The following reports are for games played through end of day Sunday, January 30th.
ONTARIO REIGN (AHL)
Due to the Ontario Reign featuring a large volume of LA Kings prospects this season, each tracker will feature a select number of them on a rotating basis – largely culled from key performances for the prior week.
The Reign defeated the Barracuda twice, 4-1 and 7-1, before being dealt a 2-1 defeat at the hands of the Stockton Heat.
Aiden Dudas, Center (113th overall in 2018)
2021-2022 Stats: 8 goals, 9 assists, plus-8, 10 PIM in 35 games played
Picking up a primary assist in the second game against San Jose, Dudas’ shot rebounded off the goalie and found Austin Wagner for the goal.

Samuel Fagemo, Left/Right Wing (50th overall in 2019)
2021-2022 Stats: 11 goals, 5 assists, plus-15, 11 PIM in 30 games played
In the second game against San Jose, Fagemo added a primary assist and a goal, a one-timer that found the top corner off of a Turcotte feed. He would even have enough confidence to attempt a “Michigan” in the second period.

Tyler Madden, Center (68th overall in 2018)
2021-2022 Stats: 11 goals, 10 assists, even plus/minus, 0 PIM in 33 games played
Madden added a secondary assist on Phillips’ goal.
Alex Turcotte, Center (5th overall in 2019)
2021-2022 Stats: 4 goals, 8 assists, plus-14, 12 PIM in 22 games played
Turcotte scored his fourth of the season after fishing out a loose puck in front of the net and firing it in the net for the eighth Reign goal. He would also assist on Fagemo’s goal with a slick backhander after drawing three defenders to him.

Helge Grans, RH Defenseman (35th overall in 2020)
2021-2022 Stats: 4 goals, 8 assists, plus-8, 2 PIM in 29 games played
Grans’ highlight of the week was making a save on a wide-open net with his skate to prevent the game from being tied in the first game against San Jose. The next game, he would score his fourth of the season with a hard wrist shot from the top of the right circle.

Markus Phillips, LH Defenseman (118th overall in 2018)
2021-2022 Stats: 1 goal, 2 assists, plus-11, 14 PIM in 30 games played
Phillips was finally able to get the monkey off his back, scoring his first of the season with a wrist shot from the blue line that found twine through traffic.

Spence remains on fire after adding an assist in each outing to extend his point streak to 11 games.

ECHL-Rapid City: 2.36 GAA, .927 SV % in 16 games played

2021-2022 Stats: 2.58 GAA, .913 SV % in 19 games played
Villalta was called upon for the final two games of the week, only allowing three goals on 77 shots between the Barracuda and the Heat.

CANADIAN JUNIOR HOCKEY
OHL
Brandt Clarke, Barrie Colts, RH Defenseman (8th overall in 2021)
2021-2022 Stats: 8 goals, 34 assists, plus-19, 12 PIM in 32 games played
Clarke picked up two goals and seven assists in the Colts four games this week. His first goal would be the product of a wrist shot from the point in an 8-0 win, while his second goal was scored with one second left in regulation to earn his team a point in a 4-3 OT loss. His efforts would earn him OHL Player of the Week and OHL Defensemen of the Month. He leads all defensemen in the league with 42 points.

Martin Chromiak, Kingston Frontenacs, Left Wing (128th overall in 2020)
2021-2022 Stats: 20 goals, 26 assists, plus-8, 8 PIM in 33 games played
Chromiak was a key contributor in two of Kingston’s wins this week, scoring three goals and an assist. He 46 points places him third in team scoring and at 17th in the league.

The Vees had three straight wins in three straight days. Doyle added five assists in those games, four of them primaries.
COLLEGE HOCKEY (NCAA)
Alex Laferriere, Harvard Univ., Right Wing (83rd overall in 2020)
2021-2022 Stats: 11 goals, 8 assists, plus-9, 8 PIM in 19 games played
Laferriere would score the opening goal in the Crimsons 5-3 defeat of Colgate Univ., a power play wrist shot from the left circle. He would also add an assist that game. He then had three shots on goal plus a shootout goal in the following game, a 3-2 shootout win. He leads Harvard in goals.

2021-2022 Stats: 12 goals, 5 assists, plus-10, 48 PIM in 22 games played
The River Hawks started the weekend with a 2-1 win over Northeastern Univ., which Lee did not play in. The next game would be a 4-3 loss to the Univ. of Massachusetts. Lee scored the opening goal of that game, sending a shot five-hole from the slot.

Faber was a plus-3 and had two blocks in the Gophers 5-1 defeat of Notre Dame. The Gophers would lose the next game 3-2 in OT. He is now with Team USA in preparation for Beijing.

2021-2022 Stats: 4 goals, 8 assists, plus-12, 44 PIM in 21 games played
Meehan was an even plus/minus and had two shots on goal in the first game. He was a plus-1 the following game and had one shot on goal.
David Hrenak, St. Cloud State, Goalie (144th overall in 2018)
2021-2022 Stats: 1.94 GAA, .925 SV % in 15 games played
Hrenak was pulled in favor of the backup after allowing four goals on 14 shots in a 8-1 loss to the Univ. of North Dakota, the largest defeat of the Huskies season. The next game against the Fighting Hawks would result in a 3-3 tie, where Hrenak made 24 saves on 27 shots.

Helenius was a minus-1 in 14:38 of ice time in a high scoring 6-7 win over IFK Helinski. The next game against KalPa, he would earn bragging rights over fellow Kings prospects Kasper Simontaival and Kim Nousiainen as JYP came away with a 4-2 win. The towering center finished the game with two minor penalties in 13:16 of ice time.
Aatu Jämsen, Finland, Right Wing (190th overall in 2020)
2021-2022 Stats
LIGGA-Pelicans: 1 goal, 5 assists, minus-1, 6 PIM in 19 games played
Mestis-Peliitat: 4 goals, 4 assists, plus-3, 4 PIM in 7 games played
