LA Kings Projected Lineup vs. Boston Bruins; Closing Out February

February 28, 2022 By MayorsManor Staff

Kings assistant coach Trent Yawney is 2-0 while filling in for Todd McLellan, coming off consecutive wins over the Ducks and Islanders. Can he push it to 3-0 with a victory over the visiting Boston Bruins on Monday night?

It’s certainly been a while since the two clubs have squared off. They were last scheduled to play each other on March 19, 2020 — just before the world shut down. A few months prior, they did play in Boston, with Anze Kopitar scoring in overtime to give the Kings a 4-3 victory that night. Blake Lizotte opened the scoring, plus Adrian Kempe and Matt Roy added two other goals. Jonathan Quick picked up the win in net. Thus, the whole thing could repeat itself tonight.
