Anaheim Ducks Weekly Prospect Tracker, Week Ending February 14, 2022

Let’s take a look at the Anaheim Ducks prospect pipeline. High draft positions the last few years has yielded a number of talented prospects, which bodes well for the Ducks as they begin rebuilding the team in earnest.

OLYMPICS UPDATE

Mason McTavish continues to play with Team Canada on the first line and is scoreless in three contests to date.

SAN DIEGO GULLS (AHL)

Jacob Perreault, Right Wing (27th overall in 2020)

2021-22 season:
AHL-San Diego: 8 goals, 11 assists, minus-6, 33 PIM in 30 games played.
NHL-Anaheim: 0 goals, 0 assists, minus-1, 0 PIM in 1 game played.

Perreault did not register a point in the only scheduled game.

Brayden Tracey, Right Wing (29th overall in 2019)

2021-22 season:
AHL-San Diego: 9 goals, 16 assists, plus-9, 18 PIM in 31 games played.
NHL-Anaheim: 0 goals, 0 assists, minus-1, 0 PIM in 1 game played.

Tracey remains out due to an upper-body injury. Missed the last six games with an injury.

Lukáš Dostál, Goaltender (85th overall in 2018)

2021-22 season:
AHL-San Diego: 8-7-0, 2.76 GAA, .907 save pct in 16 games played.
NHL-Anaheim: 2-1-1, 2.53 GAA, .929 save pct in 3 games played.

Dostal stopped 43 of 45 shots in registering a win in the only scheduled game.

CANADIAN JUNIOR HOCKEY

Tyson Hinds, QMJHL-Rimouski/Sherbrooke, Defenseman (76th overall in 2021)

2021 season: 6 goals, 13 assists, plus-11, 20 PIM in 27 games played.

Hinds recorded a goal and an assist in two games played.

Sasha Pastujov, OHL-Guelph, Left Wing (66th overall in 2021)

2021 season: 22 goals, 23 assists, minus-12, 21 PIM in 38 games played.

Pastujov collected a pair of assists in two games. His goal drought now at 10 games, but has collected six assists in that period.

Mason McTavish, OHL-Peterborough/Hamilton, Center (3rd overall in 2021)

2021 season:
IIHF-Canada: 0 goals, 0 assists, even, 0 PIM in 3 games played.
OHL-Peterborough/Hamilton: 9 goals, 5 assists, plus-7, 13 PIM in 8 games played.
NHL-Anaheim: 2 goals, 1 assist, plus-3, 2 PIM in 9 games played.
AHL-San Diego: 1 goal, 1 assist, plus-1, 4 PIM in 3 games played.

McTavish is scoreless in three Olympic contests. Getting some good chances, nothing going in just yet. Currently playing on Canada’s first line, averaging 14:44 TOI/game.

Gage Alexander, WHL-Winnipeg, Goaltender (148th overall in 2021)

2021 season: 16-5, 2.30 GAA, .911 save pct, 2 shutout in 23 games played.

Did not play in two games, served as backup goaltender.

Sean Tschigerl, WHL-Calgary, Left Wing (130th overall in 2021)

2021 season: 19 goals, 23 assists, plus-1, 29 PIM in 44 games played.

Tschigerl credited with two assists in four games played.

Olen Zellweger, WHL-Everett, Defenseman (34th overall in 2021)

2021 season: 10 goals, 38 assists, plus-38, 21 PIM in 35 games played.

Zellweger continues tearing it up collecting a goal and four assists in two games. Leads all CHL defensemen in scoring with 48 points.

Kyle Kukkonen, USHL-Madison, Michigan Tech commit, Center (162nd overall in 2021)

2021 season: 15 goals, 21 assists, even, 30 PIM in 38 games played.

Scored a goal in each of the two games played. Second on the team in scoring.

Ethan Bowen, BCHL-Chilliwack, North Dakota commit, Left Wing (207th overall in 2020),

2021 season: 14 goals, 17 assists, 20 PIM in 27 games played.

Picked up a goal and three assists in four games played on his return back to the lineup.

NCAA COLLEGE

Sam Colangelo, Hockey East-Northeastern (So), Right Wing (36th overall in 2020)

2021 season: 8 goals, 12 assists, plus-8, 14 PIM in 18 games played.

Colangelo netted two goals and two assists in two games played. Has multi-point efforts in his last three games. Second on the team in scoring.

Josh Lopina, Hockey East-UMass (So), Center (98th overall in 2021)

2021 season: 7 goals, 9 assists, plus-13, 6 PIM in 17 games played.

Registered a goal and an assist in two games played.

Henry Thrun, ECAC-Harvard (Jr), Defenseman (101st overall in 2019)

2021 season: 4 goals, 18 assists, plus-2, 8 PIM in 23 games played.

Thrun was credited with an assist in two games played. Second on the team in scoring, first in assists.

Ian Moore, ECAC-Harvard (Fr), Defenseman (67th overall in 2020)

2021 season: 1 goals, 6 assists, plus-11, 6 PIM in 23 games played.

Earned an assist in two games played.

Trevor Janicke, B1G-Notre Dame (Jr), Center (132nd overall in 2019)

2021 season: 12 goals, 7 assists, plus-4, 14 PIM in 30 games played.

It was a good week for Janicke as he registered a goal and an assist in two games played. Already established career highs in goals and assists.

Blake McLaughlin, B1G-Minnesota (Sr), Left Wing (79th overall in 2018)

2021 season: 11 goals, 16 assists, plus-6, 35 PIM in 30 games played.

McLaughlin took over the team lead in scoring with a goal and an assist in two games. Needs one point to tie his career high in points.

Jackson LaCombe, B1G-Minnesota (Jr), Defenseman (39th overall in 2019)

2021 season: 1 goal, 18 assists, plus-16, 12 PIM in 30 games played.

Earned a pair of assists in two games played. Leads teams in assists.

Jack Perbix, B1G-Minnesota (Jr), Center (116th overall in 2018)

2021 season: 3 goals, 6 assists, minus-1, 18 PIM in 29 games played.

Did not register any points in two games played.

Will Francis, NCHC-Minnesota-Duluth (Fr), Defenseman (163rd overall in 2019)

2021 season: 0 goals, 0 assists, even, 0 PIM in 3 games played.

Remained a healthy scratch in all three scheduled games.

EUROPE

Artyom Galimov, KHL-Ak Bars Kazan, Center (129th overall in 2020)

2021 season: 7 goals, 15 assists, plus-3, 18 PIM in 47 games played.

No KHL games scheduled. Playoffs start March 1. Team is hosting a short four team round-robin, with Galimov netting a goal and an assist in the first game.

Champions HL-Sweden: 4 goals, 2 assists, plus-3, 2 PIM in 7 games played.

Sundsvik did not earn any points in the only scheduled game.

Thimo Nickl, Allsvenskan-AIK, Defenseman (104th overall in 2020)

2021 season: 2 goals, 6 assists, minus-10, 18 PIM in 32 games played.

Credited with an assist in three games played.
