The AHL’s best rivalry resumes on Saturday night in Ontario when the Reign and Gulls hook up for only the fifth time this season. They’re scheduled to play a total of 12 times throughout the 2021-22 campaign, with three of their next four meetings slated to be played in San Diego.
Ontario has won the first three games played this year — outscoring the Anaheim Ducks top minor league affiliate by a combined score of 14-5 — before San Diego edged out a 3-1 victory when they last saw each other back on December 11.
Kings prospect Sammy Fagemo is back with the Reign now, after spending a few days practicing with LA.
LA Kings roster moves…
Austin Wagner recalled, Sammy Fagemo to AHL
As noted yesterday, don't sweat it. Kings have 12 healthy forwards. Fagemo was the extra the other night, he's needed in Ontario for Reign game tonight.
More to come later in lineup article.

Conversely, they’ll be without Vladimir Tkachev tonight.
The Kings have sent goaltender Jacob Ingham back to ECHL Greenville, which still leaves the Reign with three netminders when fully healthy — Lukas Parik, Matt Villalta, and Garret Sparks.
Of note for the Gulls, following their win last night in San Diego over first-place Stockton, they lost several players today via recall to the NHL:
Add goalie Lukas Dostal to the group Anaheim called up. All three played for the Gulls last night.

Both teams will be looking to pick up the pace a bit. Over their last 10 games, the Reign are 4-4-2, while the Gulls are 4-6-0.
