Sometimes, a team needs to get out on the road to get healthy. Or perhaps the Kings just needed Adrian Kempe back in the lineup. Either way, LA secured a 3-2 victory in New Jersey on Sunday and will now be looking for back-to-back wins when they face the Rangers at Madison Square Garden.
Despite being a rematch of the 2014 Stanley Cup Final, any game between LA and New York is usually a pretty big deal.
Outside of sliding Jonathan Quick into the crease, kings coach Todd McLellan is not expected to make any other lineup changes. Quick was the goalie in the aforementioned 2014 Final and he has helped secure victories in three of his last four starts against the Rangers.

On the New York side of things:
It sounds like Gallant is giving serious consideration to playing with 11 forwards and 7 D tonight. He hinted at one of the defenseman being "banged up" and said he liked the way it worked against Arizona with Rooney rotating between the third and fourth lines. #NYR

Sounds like it could be a while before we see Kaapo Kakko again. Gallant says it’ll be at least a couple games and called him “week-to-week” with the upper-body injury. Chytil should be back sooner. #NYR
