WJC DAY 1 RECAP: Three Kings Prospects with Multi-Point Games

December 26, 2021 By John Hoven

On day one of the 2022 World Junior Championships, three Kings prospects had multi-point performances — including two-goal games from Samuel Helenius and Martin Chromiak — plus Russian defenseman Kirill Kirsanov played nearly half the game vs. Sweden.

FINLAND vs. GERMANY

Last year, Helenius had 4 points (2G, 2A) in 7 games at the #WorldJuniors

Today, he pots a goal in his first game of the 2022 tourney… https://t.co/bzJ9IAKah2

#WJC: Slovakia on the comeback trail as RW Martin Chromiak (LAK 5th/2020) delivers this hammer blow from the left circle. No goalie is stopping that laser. Now 3-1 USA with a full period to go in regulation pic.twitter.com/g9llwVzsqP
