Projected Lineup: LA Kings vs. Winnipeg Jets in Game 15

November 13, 2021 By John Hoven

It all comes down to this.

Having won the first three games on their four-game Canadian road trip, the Kings have an opportunity to sweep the swing. They also can push their current seven-game winning streak to eight in a row.

The last time LA won eight straight was during the 2017-18 season, and they went on to make the playoffs. They also won eight straight in 2013-14 and made the playoffs. Ditto for 1991-92. Well, you get the idea.

Oh, what happened in 2014-15 after they won eight straight that season? We’re not going to talk about that right now.

As for tonight’s lineup, Lias Andersson is drawing closer to game action. However, we’re not expecting coach Todd McLellan to roll the dice and make changes to what’s been working. More likely, the talented Swede is looking at a return on the upcoming homestand. This is also when Gabe Vilardi and Viktor Arvidsson are expected back.

LA KINGS PROJECTED LINEUP vs. WINNIPEG JETS on 11/13

Kempe – Kopitar – Brown
Iafallo – Danault – Athanasiou
Grundstrom – Kupari – Moore
Lemieux – Lizotte – Kaliyev

Other options: Tynan and Andersson
Protocol: Arvidsson and Vilardi

Maatta – Clague
Edler – Roy
Björnfot – Anderson

Other options: Strand

Petersen (starter)
Quick

Injured Reserve: Doughty and Walker

Both were unable to travel on the Canadian road trip due to protocol. From what I'm hearing, they're expected to begin skating with the team on Monday (back in LA). https://t.co/Mnw4WclxDM

On the Jets side of things:

Jets are scheduled wear these beauties vs LA on 11/13 and 4/2.

Maybe the Kings will break out their new third jerseys for those games? https://t.co/MeQrUsM3b8

KINGS MILESTONES WITHIN REACH

Alex Edler – one goal away from career number 100
