Ontario Reign Projected Lineup vs. Tucson on 11/12

November 12, 2021 By MayorsManor Staff

Nearly all signs are pointing to the positive right now for Reign coach John Wroblewski and his Ontario players. Through the first 10 games of the 2021-22 season, they remain undefeated in regulation and are entrenched atop the AHL’s Pacific Division. This weekend, they’re in Tucson to see if they can keep the good times rolling with a pair of games against the Roadrunners.

The back-to-back set will be the first of eight matchups scheduled between the two clubs this season. Last year, Tucson took the first two games and then Ontario rattled off six straight wins against their division rival, including the final two games of the 2020-21 regular season. They’ll meet up again in mid-December back in Ontario.

For now, Wrobo’s lineup appears to pretty much be the same one he used last weekend. With T.J. Tynan on the Kings road trip to Canada, Alex Turcotte has taken over the top center role and produced a goal in each game since assuming the spot.

Martin Frk leads all Reign players in goals (8) and points (16). He also was named the AHL’s Player of the Week.

One player who has gotten off to a little bit of a slow start is Sammy Fagemo. Thus far, he’s only produced four points (3G, 1A). The 21-year-old Swedish forward has now gone five games without a goal and only has one assist during that stretch.
