It’s not often that AHL teams play a series of back-to-back games on a Sunday-Monday.
It’s also hasn’t been common for the Ontario Reign to lose games this season, let alone in regulation.
Game 1 of their first place showdown with Stockton over the weekend did at least feature the return of Gabe Vilardi and he produced in the opening frame.

Sammy Fagemo entered the game on a bit of a hot streak, having potted a hat trick in his previous contest. He appeared to be at it again on Sunday, only to later have the goal credited to rookie defenseman Helge Grans.

In the end, it wasn’t enough, as the Reign fell 4-2.
Today is a new day, which brings a new game — and a slightly different lineup for the rematch.
LA Kings roster news…
Look for Sean Durzi to be returned to AHL Ontario today.
We'll see how this plays out over the next 48 hours. For now, he will be available for tonight's Reign game.
