LA Kings Weekly Prospect Tracker, Week Ending November 21, 2021

It’s time to take a lap around the globe and check in on the LA Kings prospects playing in various leagues. The following reports are for games played through end of day Sunday, November 21st.

ONTARIO REIGN (AHL)

Due to the Ontario Reign featuring a large volume of LA Kings prospects this season, each tracker will feature a select number of them on a rotating basis – largely culled from key performances for the prior week.

The Reign played one game this week, a 4-2 loss to the Stockton Heat in a battle for first place.

Samuel Fagemo, Left/Right Wing (50th overall in 2019)

2021-2022 Stats: 6 goals, 2 assists, plus-11, 2 PIM in 13 games played

Fagemo would have to settle for an assist on a goal he was originally credited for, providing a screen for Helge Grans’ goal.

Helge Grans, RH Defenseman (35th overall in 2020)

2021-2022 Stats: 2 goals, 3 assists, plus-3, 0 PIM in 10 games played

Grans scored the Reign’s second of the game, a slap shot from the point on the power play.

Players not included: Jaret Anderson-Dolan,  Aiden Dudas,  Tyler Madden, Johan Södergran, Alex Turcotte, Sean Durzi, Jacob Moverare, Markus Phillips, Jordan Spence, Austin Strand, and Matt Villalta.

ECHL

Jacob Ingham, Greenville Swamp Rabbits, Goalie (175th overall in 2018)

2021-2022 Stats
AHL-Ontario Reign: 1.85 GAA, .931 SV %, 1 assist in 1 game played
ECHL-Greenville Swamp Rabbits: 2.81 GAA, .915 SV % in 5 games played

Ingham had a stellar week, earning two wins in two games played. His first game, a 5-2 win, he posted a .945 SV % while stopping 35 of 37 shots. He would follow up that performance with a 27-save shutout.

Lukas Parik, Rapid City Rush, Goalie (87th overall in 2019)

2021-2022 Stats: 2.50 GAA, .924 SV % in 4 games played

Parik played one game this week, turning away 33 of 34 shots and posting a .970 SV %.

CANADIAN JUNIOR HOCKEY (OHL)

Brandt Clarke, Barrie Colts, RH Defenseman (8th overall in 2021)

2021-2022 Stats: 5 goals, 12 assists, plus-4, 4 PIM in 14 games played

The Colts named Clarke as their captain. Captain Clarke picked up a secondary assist in a 6-2 win.

Martin Chromiak, Kingston Frontenacs, Left Wing (128th overall in 2020)

2021-2022 Stats: 7 goals, 13 assists, even plus/minus, 0 PIM in 14 games played

Chromiak went pointless this week. Kingston won once and lost once this week.

Francesco Pinelli, Kitchener Rangers, Center (42nd overall in 2021)

2021-2022 Stats: 6 goals, 14 assists, plus-3, 6 PIM in 17 games played

It was a winless week for the Rangers, dropping three games and were shutout in one of them. Pinelli picked up a goal and three assists this week.

COLLEGE HOCKEY (NCAA)

Alex Laferriere, Harvard Univ., Right Wing (83rd overall in 2020)

2021-2022 Stats: 5 goals, 2 assists, plus-3, 0 PIM in 7 games played

The Crimson did not play this week.

Andre Lee, UMass-Lowell, LW/C (188th overall in 2019)

2021-2022 Stats: 8 goals, 2 assist, plus-5, 19 PIM in 11 games played

The River Hawks finally suffered their first loss this season, loosing 2-1 to the Univ. of Connecticut. Lee scored the lone goal in that game with one of the more interesting head-fakes you will see. The River Hawks won their prior game against the Huskies 3-0, where Lee scored twice.

Braden Doyle, Boston University, LH Defenseman (157th overall in 2019)

2021-2022 Stats: 0 goals, 1 assist, plus-1, 0 PIM in 7 games played

The Terriers played twice this week. Boyle recorded no stats.

Brock Faber, Univ. of Minnesota, RH Defenseman (45th overall in 2020)

2021-2022 Stats: 1 goal, 6 assists, plus-2, 8 PIM in 14 games played

The Gophers lost their first of the week to Penn. State 5-3 but won their second  4-2, where Faber registered an assist.

Ben Meehan, UMass-Lowell, LH Defenseman (140th overall in 2020)

2021-2022 Stats: 3 goals, 3 assists, plus-9, 21 PIM in 11 games played

Meehan was a plus-1 in the 3-0 defeat of the Univ. of Connecticut.

David Hrenak, St. Cloud State, Goalie (144th overall in 2018)

2021-2022 Stats: 1.83 GAA, .927 SV % in 12 games played

The Huskies lost both of their games this week to Univ. of Western Michigan. Hrenak allowed 5 goals on 19 shots in the first  game.

VARIOUS EUROPEAN LEAGUES

Samuel Helenius, LIIGA-JYP, Center (59th overall in 2021)

2021-2022 Stats
LIIGA-JYP: 0 goals, 4 assists, minus-1, 50 PIM in 22 games played
SM-Sarja-JYP U20: 0 goals, 1 assist, plus-1, 0 PIM in 1 game played

Helenius played in JYPs 10th straight defeat, a 6-1 loss to Ilves, recording no stats.

Aatu Jämsen, Finland, Right Wing (190th overall in 2020)

2021-2022 Stats
LIGGA-Pelicans: 1 goal, 3 assists, minus-1, 2 PIM in 11 games played
Mestis-Peliitat: 3 goals, 3 assists, plus-4, 2 PIM in 3 games played
SM-Sarja-Pelicans U20: 4 goals, 11 assists, plus-11, 6 PIM in 9 games played

The young Finn played in two games for the Pelicans, both wins. He registered 0 points.

Kasper Simontaival, LIIGA-KalPa, Center (66th overall in 2020)

2021-2022 Stats: 3 goals, 3 assists, minus-1, 10 PIM in 10 games played

Simontaival has been skating on KalPas top-line and registered an assist in their first game of the week, a 3-0 win over SaiPa.

Kim Nousiainen, LIIGA-KalPa, LH Defenseman (119th overall in 2019)

2021-2022 Stats: 2 goals, 1 assist, minus-1, 4 PIM in 7 games played

The defenseman remains out with an injury.

Kirill Kirsanov, KHL-SKA St. Petersburg, LH Defenseman (84th overall in 2021)

2021-2022 Stats
KHL-SKA: 0 goals, 4 assists, plus-2, 0 PIM in 24 games played
MHL-SKA-1946: 0 goals, 2 assists, plus-2, 0 PIM in 1 game played

Kirsanov played in one game for SKA before being sent down to the MHL for a game, where he registered two assists.

Juho Markkanen, LIIGA-SaiPa, Goalie (112th overall in 2020)

2021-2022 Stats
LIIGA-SaiPa: 2.42 GAA, .882 SV % in 3 games played
SM-Sarja-SaiPa U20: 5.67 GAA, .790 SV % in 3 games played

Markkanen did not play this week.
