It’s time to take a lap around the globe and check in on the LA Kings prospects playing in various leagues. The following reports are for games played through end of day Sunday, September 26th.
ONTARIO REIGN (AHL)
Due to the Ontario Reign featuring a large volume of LA Kings prospects, a select number of them will be featured in the trackers based on their draft position and performance for the week.
Samuel Fagemo, Left/Right Wing (50th overall in 2019)
Fagemo has been finding a way to get the puck in the net every time he’s on ice. He scored in the Kings 3-2 loss to the Vegas Golden Knights in the last game of the Rookie Faceoff tournament and has been lighting it up in training camp ever since. Most of his goals come from a bullet of a snapshot or one-timer, but in Sunday’s King on King action he showcased how dynamic he can be. He charged down the left side of the offensive zone before dipping his shoulder to the defenseman and took the puck right through the crease past the goalie, finally slamming it into the net.
STATS CHECK
Sammy Fagemo led all LA Kings players today with 9 SOG.
Not a typo.
Phillips and Pavlychev had 5 each, followed by Kaliyev and Durzi at 4 each.
Parik made 25 saves vs VGK.

Helge Grans, RH Defenseman (35th overall in 2020)
LA management was highly impressed by Helge Grans at the Rookie Faceoff. Throughout the tournament, he moved the puck really well in his own zone while under pressure. However, he did not play in the final game of the tournament due to losing some of his teeth in the prior game.
Early comments after a small sample size:
Kings brass likes what they saw from Helge Grans this wkend (and he was good, as noted previously). Usually a question about how Euro players will adjust to the smaller ice. It seems to help Grans, less time to think. Can use his reach.

CANADIAN JUNIOR HOCKEY (OHL)
Martin Chromiak, Kingston Frontenacs, Left Wing (128th overall in 2020)

Francesco Pinelli, Kitchener Rangers, Center (42nd overall in 2021)
Pinelli played in all three games at the Rookie Faceoff and is currently at the Kings training camp.
Pinelli's reaction after a hard slash by Andersson. The kid had caught Lias on the hand earlier in the shift. It wasn't appreciated. pic.twitter.com/tgSuLAg0wT

Brandt Clarke, Barrie Colts, RH Defenseman (8th overall in 2021)
Clarke is missing out on training camp for the Kings and the Colts as he continues to be sidelined with a non-COVID-related illness.
For those asking, Brandt Clarke has returned home to Canada. He can't be around the players or work out, as he's been shut down for more than a few weeks. https://t.co/63LQgNlYyH
