LA Kings Prospect Tracker, Week Ending April 4, 2021

April 5, 2021 By Nick Lopez

It’s time to take a lap around the globe and check in on the LA Kings prospects playing in various leagues. The following reports are for games played through end of day Sunday, April 4th, 2021.

AHL Ontario Reign

Historically we do not include AHL players on this list, but due to the high volume of prospects playing for the Ontario Reign this season, we will highlight select players each week.

The Reign played twice this week, their sole opponent being San Diego. The Gulls took both contests, outscoring the Reign 13-6.

Lias Andersson, Center (7th overall in 2017)

2021 season: 3 goals, 7 assists, minus-1, 0 PIM in 9 games played

Fresh off a stint with the Kings, Andersson’s assist on Daniel Brickley’s goal elevated his points-per-game to 1.10 in the AHL.

2021 season: 6 goals, 11 assists, minus-12, 18 PIM in 24 games played

Byfield had a second assist on Jacob Moverare’s first career AHL goal . Prior to passing the puck, Byfield led the rush up ice and drew two defenders towards him freeing up space in the slot, which was needed to score the goal.

2021 season: 5 goals, 1 assist, minus-12, 6 PIM in 22 games played

In the first game against the Gulls, Dudas showcased his patience by pulling the goaltender out of position to slip the puck past him all while being hooked.
