It took longer than normal for Canada, but they still scored first

Dylan Cozens on the breakaway makes it 1-0 Canada.

#WJC: It took longer than usual but still didn't take that long, as Dylan Cozens scores on a breakaway at 8:22 of the 1st to give Canada a 1-0 lead over the Czechs. That puck has to get deep considering they were operating their cycle. pic.twitter.com/5U2FfMiIV0

Canada moves on and will play the lowest remaining seed in the next round. If Slovakia upsets the United States later tonight, they would get Canada next. If the USA wins, it would set up Canada-Ruasia and USA-Finland in the semifinals.
