Byfield looking like a man possessed this game. 2 NZ breakups in the last 2 shifts, not to mention the assist to start the game.

Quinton Byfield just completely lost control of the puck in his feet on an entry, kept his feet moving at pace, kicked the puck off the outside of his blade, and gained the zone with control before picking up his third point of the game…
— Scott Wheeler (@scottcwheeler) December 30, 2020
Just highlighting this Quinton Byfield moment that @scottcwheeler pointed out.
Loses control of the puck on the entry, keeps moving at speed, kicks the puck forward and gets into the zone.

— Ivan Arbour (@IvanArbour) December 30, 2020
Interesting note on Byfield's faceoffs today…
The only two faceoffs he lost in the first period were to the same player, Swiss forward Dario Allenspach.
Byfield came back in the second and went 3-0 at the dot vs. Allenspach.
He's 5-0 today vs. all other Swiss players.
— John Hoven | The Mayor (@mayorNHL) December 30, 2020
Quinton Byfield has been excellent at both ends today.
The difference? Heโs holding onto the puck in transition. Much like he does with Sudbury.
Letโs keep that going.

#WJC: Byfield gets his second of the night after another nice play from Jack Quinn. Cole Perfetti (WIN 1st/2020) sniped one shortly thereafter so it's 8-0 Canada over Switzerland in the third period. pic.twitter.com/qPPoPyO2rI

#WJC: LHD Kaiden Guhle (MTL 1st/2020) makes it 9-0 with a perfect shot that ticked off the far post. He's been Canada's best defensemen tonight, especially when the game was close. This shot was no joke. pic.twitter.com/looeqBUoPR

#WJC: Byfield just picked up his sixth point — an assist on Jakob Pelletier's second goal of the night. It's 10-0 Canada over Switzerland.
And just like that, he's Canada's second leading scorer in the tournament. Satisfied now?
