LA Kings Select Juho Markkanen No. 112 – What You Need to Know

October 7, 2020 By Scott Coffman

There are never enough goalies in the system and the Kings added one more in Finnish goalkeeper Juho Markkanen

We’ll have more on this pick as the day develops (adding to this article). For now, this is what you need to know.

Early Notes

Quick notes on LA Kings pick at No. 112 – goalie Juho Markkanen

Son of Jussi Markkanen. Born in Edmonton, but has been playing overseas. Very technical, focused goalie. Good size and might even grow.

Hearing that goalie Juho Markkanen currently weighs more like 170 lbs, a far cry from the 146 lbs floating around in other places.

Los Angeles Kings select Juho Markkanen with the 112th pick. An athletic and mobile goalie who has improved a lot in the last two seasons – trending up. Will play for Ketterä in Finland's 2nd highest league this season. Son of former NHL goalie Jussi Markkanen. #LAKings
