If you stayed focused on the entirety of the second day of the draft, which was about eight hours, you’ll have witnessed the Kings final pick of Aatu Jämsen.
We’ll have more on this pick as the day develops (adding to this article). For now, this is what you need to know.
Early Notes
IMO – Kings waited as long as possible to take Aatu Jamsen just to prevent Ruuttu from falling asleep in Finland… where it's now 2:05 am
We'll get his take on the next @kingsofthepod

On a more serious note re: LA Kings pick Aatu Jamsen at 190…
Scouts tell me the 6-foot-2 forward makes plays, is smart, creates offense, and brings higher level production. Also heard LA was prepared to take him a round or so earlier.

[RW Aatu] Jamsen was one of the underrated guys. He played in one of the traditionally underscouted leagues. Some of the questions we might have had last year, we were able to answer them this year because those leagues have already started. – Yannetti

In conversation with well respected NHL exec – Kings did a great job today. Chromiak and Jamsen could be steals. However, Steal of the Day was Lias Andersson. Love every ounce of his game.

Pick 190: W Aatu Jämsen to Los Angeles
I doubt anyone expected Jämsen to get drafted after the 2019-2020 season. But he's started the 2020-2021 season on fire, putting up 20 points in 9 games on a high-scoring Pelicans U20 team.

Kings at 190 take Finnish winger Aatu Jamsen, who didn't play at all in the NSM Liiga but is off to a crazy start in 2020-21. Definitely a Coronavirus pick.

Yannetti said that not having the U-18 tournament hurt regarding scouting some of the European players, but the delayed draft allowed the team to see some games in 2020. Said that played a big role in selecting Aatu Jamsen, seeing how he played this year in the Finland U20.
