Kings Prospect Tracker: Report For Week Ending Apr. 10, 2016

Below are brief updates on all LA Kings non-AHL prospects, meaning guys playing in the three Canadian junior leagues (WHL, OHL, and QMJHL), plus college, ECHL, and overseas:

MIKE AMADIO: Forward, North Bay Battalion (3rd round pick in 2014, OHL)

Regular season: 50 goals, 48 assists, plus-30, 40 PIM in 68 games played
Playoffs: 9 goals, 5 assist, plus-2, 8 PIM in eight games played

North Bay won Game 7 of the OHL Eastern Conference Quarterfinals versus the Peterborough Petes last week. Amadio contributed two goals and an assist in the game.

Mike Amadio with another two goals in North Bay’s 4-1 Game 7 win. Amadio had 9 goals in the series.

Actually, #LAKings prospects are 1-2 in #OHLPlayoffs scoring, Mike Amadio of the @OHLBattalion is 2nd with 14 pts (9g, 5a) in 7 games.

North Bay wins series 4-3.

North Bay advanced to the OHL Eastern Conference Semifinals to face off against the Barrie Colts. They played Game 1 last week, which they lost. Amadio was a non-factor on the score sheet.

ERIK CERNAK: Defenseman, Erie Otters (2nd round pick in 2015, OHL)

Regular season: 4 goals, 11 assists, plus-7, 35 PIM in 41 games played
Playoffs: 0 goals, 4 assists, plus-7, 8 PIM in six games played

The Otters began the OHL Western Conference Semifinals against the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds, winning Game 1 and Game 2. Cernak registered two penalty minutes.

Erie leads series 2-0.

ALEXANDER DERGACHYOV: Forward, St. Petersburg SKA (3rd round pick in 2015, KHL)

Regular season: 2 goals, 0 assists, minus-2, 4 PIM in 33 games played
Playoffs: 0 goals, 1 assists, minus-1, 4 PIM in 15 games played

Dergachyov and SKA were eliminated from the playoffs on March 28.

ALEC DILLON: Goalie, Edmonton Oil Kings (5th round pick in 2014, WHL)

Regular season: 7 games played, 2-2-1 record, 3.81 GAA, .871 SV%

The Oil Kings continued the WHL Eastern Conference Quarterfinals versus the Brandon Wheat Kings, losing Game 6 to be eliminated from the playoffs. Dillon did not start for the game.

Brandon wins series 4-2.

STEVEN JOHNSON: Defenseman, University of Minnesota (4th round pick in 2014)

Regular season: 3 goals, 7 assists, minus-1, 6 PIM in 33 games played

Johnson and the Gophers were eliminated from the playoff run on March 19.

MAXIM KITSYN: Forward, Manchester Monarchs (6th round pick in 2010, KHL)

Ontario Reign (Regular Season): 0 goals, 0 assists, even, 0 PIM in two games played
Manchester Monarchs (Regular Season): 26 goals, 29 assists, plus-37, 59 PIM in 65 games played

The Monarchs won their away game and lost their home game last week. Kitsyn registered three assists.

The Monarchs advanced to the ECHL playoffs and will face off against the Adirondack Thunder in the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals beginning Apr. 13.

PAUL LADUE: Defenseman, University of North Dakota (6th round pick in 2012)

5 goals, 14 assists, plus-31, 14 PIM in 41 games played

UND played in the NCAA Frozen Four semifinals against Denver, winning 4-2 to advanced to the championship. They played in the championship on on Apr. 9 against Quinnipiac, winning the game 5-1 to win their 8th NCAA title. LaDue registered an assist in the championship game.

ALEX LINTUNIEMI: Defenseman, Manchester Monarchs (2nd round pick in 2014, OHL)

1 goals, 17 assists, minus-2, 8 PIM in 38 games played

In the Monarchs’ two games last week, Lintuniemi registered three assists.

In the Otters’ two wins last week, Marchment registered his first goal of the postseason.

Playoffs: 0 goals, 2 assists, minus-3, 2 PIM in five games played

Middleton and the Ottawa 67’s were eliminated from the playoffs on Apr. 1.

It was announced on Apr. 5 that Middleton, along with fellow Kings prospect Damir Sharipzyanov, will join the Ontario Reign on amateur tryout agreements.

MATT MISTELE: Forward, Sarnia Sting (6th round pick in 2014, OHL)

Regular season: 33 goals, 25 assists, minus-6, 45 PIM in 61 games played
Playoffs: 6 goals, 3 assists, plus-1, 4 PIM in seven games played

Sarnia played Game 7 of the OHL Western Conference Quarterfinals versus the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds, losing to be eliminated from the playoffs. Mistele was a non-factor on the score sheet.

Playoffs: 2 goal, 5 assists, minus-4, 18 PIM in 10 games played

Prokhorkin and Salavat Yulaev were eliminated from the playoffs on March 31.

CHAZ REDDEKOPP: Defenseman, Victoria Royals (7th round pick in 2015, WHL)

Regular season: 4 goals, 26 assists, plus-19, 102 PIM in 70 games played
Playoffs: 0 goals, 3 assists, minus-2, 4 PIM in eight games played

The Royals began the WHL Western Conference Semifinals versus the Kelowna Rockets, winning both Game 1 and Game 2. Reddekopp was a non-factor on the score sheet.

Victoria leads series 2-0.

The Wolves did not advance to the OHL playoffs.

DAMIR SHARIPZYANOV: Defensman, Owen Sound Attack (undrafted signing)

Regular season: 5 goals, 16 assists, plus-5, 34 PIM in 46 games played
Playoffs: 1 goals, 3 assists, minus-7, 4 PIM in six games played

Sharipzyanov and Owen Sound were eliminiated from the playoffs on Apr. 3.

It was announced on Apr. 5 that Sharipzyanov, along with fellow Kings prospect Jake Middleton, will join the Ontario Reign on amateur tryout agreements.
