POLL: Which Kings 50th Anniversary Jersey Design Do You Prefer?

December 20, 2015 By John Hoven

Late last month we broke news of a special gray jersey being planned by the Los Angeles Kings for next year, their 50th season in the NHL. While multiple sources provided us information about the design of the new sweater, several small details are still being finalized. And although we’ve been led to believe the crest will be the same one currently used on the team’s home and road uniforms, a plethora of readers suggested they go with one of the other primary designs used in the past. As such, we thought we’d have a little fun – with the help of MayorsManor artist Justin Cox – and throw several designs at you to see which one you actually prefer.

Add the Los Angeles to the bottom of option 6, and that’s my winner. Has elements from all era’s

I would like to see the fan favorite option 6 with an option 2 style jersey. Just the sleep stripes and the one at the waistline, none of the extra piping. Love the look

New crown with small bottom hem would be best, but wasn’t listed. Maybe the poll should have been two parts:

    1) Which logo design?
    2) Which sweater design?

Not sure why you deleted my comment about your link, but didn’t fix it.

I like option 3. I love the era that logo captures though it does bring back our snakebitten times in the playoffs.

If not, I like the new crown. The shield is pretty well ingrained going forward and I feel like the Old Crown works best with the Purple/Gold contrast

Using the crown logo seems to be a given since the jersey is meant to celebrate the 50th anniversary. The gray/black color scheme also commemorates the Kings’ modern era. It’s a good blend of our entire 50 year history. I would maybe add the modern LA logo to the shoulders.

    50th Anniversary = Gold

I’d create a Gold Jersey with the current Shield and maybe small Old School Crowns on the shoulders!

But maybe they’re going to have special 50th Season Gold Patches on the upper right of the jerseys that’s why they’re going with grey!
