As noted last week, the regular season has ended for all three of the major Canadian junior leagues. Along with some notes from the USHL and the NCAA hockey regionals, here is a look at how every Kings prospect fared in their team’s opening games of the OHL and QMJHL playoffs:
MIKE AMADIO: Forward, North Bay Battalion (3rd round pick in 2014, OHL):
Regular season: 24 goals, 47 assists, plus-30, 18 PIM in 68 games played
Playoffs: 3 goals, 3 assists, plus-5, 0 PIM in two games played
In the first two games of North Bay’s series vs. Kingston, Amadio scored three goals and had three assists to help his team win both games. To see his pair of goals in Game 2, click here to watch the video.

JONNY BRODZINSKI: Forward, St. Cloud State University (5th round pick in 2013)
Full season stats (including tournament games): 21 goals, 18 assists, minus- 1, 49 PIM in 40 games played
The St. Cloud State Huskies played two games in the NCAA Tournament this past week. They won their first game against Michigan Tech with the help of a goal from Brodzinski. The Huskies lost their next game versus North Dakota, during which Brodzinski was a non-factor on the scoresheet.
With the loss, the Huskies were eliminated from the tournament.

ALEC DILLON: Goalie, Tri-City Storm / USHL (5th round pick in 2014)
Regular season: 39 games played, 22-10-4 record, 2.14 GAA, .918 SV%
Tri-City played two home games last week. Dillon, pictured above, started and lost both games, making a combined 61 saves on 66 shots. The USHL playoffs will begin in a few weeks.
PAUL LADUE: Defeseman, University of North Dakota (6th round pick in 2012)
Full season stats (including tournament games): 5 goals, 17 assists, plus-8, 31 PIM in 40 games played
The University of North Dakota won both their games in the NCAA West Regional last week. LaDue registered an assist and 21 PIM in the two games.
UND will now play in the NCAA Frozen Four versus Boston University on April 9.

ZAC LESLIE: Defenseman, Guelph Storm (6th round pick in 2013, OHL)
Regular season: 11 goals, 37 assists, plus-6, 57 PIM
Guelph split the first two games of their series versus Owen Sound, and things are now tied 1-1. However, as noted previously, Leslie had season-ending surgery and is not expected to play in the OHL again – instead, he will turn pro this summer.
ALEX LINTUNIEMI: Defenseman, Ottawa 67’s (2nd round pick in 2014, OHL)
Regular season: 7 goals, 29 assists, minus-5, 22 PIM in 68 games played
Playoffs: 1 goal, 2 assists, plus- 1, 0 PIM in two games played
Ottawa won the first two games of their series versus Niagara with the help of a goal and assist from Lintuniemi.

Regular season: 8 goals, 32 assists, plus-20, 129 PIM in 61 games played
Playoffs: 0 goals, 2 assists, plus-3, 2 PIM in three games played
Erie played three games last week in their playoff series versus Sarnia. MacDermid was not a big contributor on the scoresheet, registering only two assists over the three games.

Marchment skipped the first game of the playoff series between Eire and Sarnia, due to a shoulder injury. However, he registered an assist in Game 2 and was a huge contributor to the Otters’ Game 3 win, where he notched a hat trick.

In the first two games of their series versus Niagara, Middleton registered one goal.

Prokhorkin’s CSKA team won the first two games of the KHL’s Western Conference Finals this past week. Prokhorkin was scratched for both games.

Zykov and the QMJHL’s Gatineau Olympiques split the first two games of their series versus Blainville-Boisbriand. Zykov had one goal and one assist.
