Building on the in-depth preview posted earlier, we’re back with some all new tidbits related to tonight’s action. Per the norm, we’ll provide notes on a few things that may occur on the Kings side of the ice, and we have a guest to share thoughts related to the other bench. Joining us for Game 9 is David Strehle of The Fourth Period magazine. He’s allegedly a Philadelphia guru, we shall see.

3:1 – Ron Hextall and Dean Lombardi are shown hugging at least five times during the TV broadcast

8:1 – Robyn Regehr earns an assist

25:1 – The Flyers play a full 60 minutes, dominate attack zone time and outshoot the Kings by a wide margin

1,000:1 – Philadelphia wins in a shootout (if the tie-breaking skills competition is required to decide the outcome), with Nick Grossmann netting the improbable winning marker in the 18th round
