With the final pick of the third round, the Kings selected center Michael Amadio of the North Bay Battalion of the OHL. Amadio was ranked 68th by the Central Scouting Service in their final rankings of the year. The Hockey News had Amadio ranked 81st overall, and it is worth noting that The Hockey news has him listed as a right wing.
With North Bay this year, Amadio had 12 goals and 26 assists in 64 games played.
