A few quick quotes from the Anaheim Ducks locker room following their 5-4 win over the host LA Kings on Saturday night…
Coach Bruce Boudreau on earning at least one point:
“They all knew that they just needed a point. We never talked about it, but you could tell after the game was over that they all knew because they all turned and some of them were high-fiving each other. It’s a pretty good accomplishment for them. Then we said well let’s go win it in the shootout.”
Boudreau on knowing your opponent:
“Well we get to game plan a day earlier then we would of if we didn’t. We know we got a real worthy opponent. They’ve beaten us two out of the three times this year, and they will be ready to play because they got a lot of young guys that are just excited to be there. I have been in that position, and that’s a tough team to beat.”
Ryan Getzlaf on potentially facing the Kings in the second round of the playoffs:
“You never want to let a team think that they can beat you. This year we have been able to handle them. In the past, we have had a tough time beating them. It’s good to have this last win against them in case we face them in the playoffs.”
Stephane Robidas on facing his old club, the Dallas Stars, in the first round:
“There won’t be any easy games. Anybody can beat anybody. It’s going to be a really good matchup. It’s going to be a tough series. It will be good.”
