West Coast Bias on NHL Radio – McKenzie, Nickson and Roenick

November 25, 2013 By John Hoven

Bob McKenzie, Nick Nickson and Jeremy Roenick guest on West Coast Bias.

Even with only two games on the schedule, there was still plenty to talk about around the NHL on Sunday night. West Coast Bias was back on the NHL Network Radio airwaves for more than two hours and we had three special guests to help us along.

TSN’s Bob McKenzie was on in the first hour to talk about his new book, Wayne Gretzky in the 1993 playoffs, teams traveling to play the three California clubs, the Vancouver Canucks, Steven Stamkos, 3-on-3 overtime and Olympic goaltending debates for both Team USA and Canada.

Later, Nick Nickson, the longtime radio voice of the Kings, joined us to break down everything related to Darryl Sutter’s LA team – including: when Jeff Carter will return, what to do about Jonathan Quick’s injury, ideas for line combinations, Tyler Toffoli, Linden Vey, Tanner Pearson and much more.

In the second hour, Jeremy Roenick stopped by to share some of his opinions on the Detroit Red Wings, Colorado Avalanche, Roberto Luongo, which team he’s favoring at the Olympics and a few comments on GSP v Hendricks from UFC 167.

Along with my co-host Jonathan Davis, we also found time to discuss and debate a myriad of other topics, like – Dustin Penner, Luca Sbisa, Anaheim Ducks, Frederik Andersen, Jonas Hiller, Mike Smith, Phoenix Coyotes, Patrick Roy, Matt Duchene, Colorado Avalance, San Jose Sharks, Jaromir Jagr, Dallas Stars, Nashville Predators, St. Louis Blues, Chicago Blackhawks, Ottawa Senators, Columbus Blue Jackets, Kevin Westgarth and lots more.

Buckle up, here we go…

HOUR ONE – Bob McKenzie, Nick Nickson, game reviews, etc.

HOUR TWO – Jeremy Roenick, Gordie Howe Hat Trick of the Week, etc.

An all new episode of West Coast Bias will air on NHL Network Radio next Sunday starting at 6pm PST. Hope you’ll join us. In the meantime, if you’ve missed any of our recent episodes, check out the links below.
