Kings make second-to-last cuts from training camp

With opening night just a week away and only two pre-season games remaining for coach Darryl Sutter and crew, the LA Kings made their second-to-last round of cuts from training camp on Wednesday by sending the following players to Manchester…

Forward:

#76 – Nicholas Shore – third round (82nd overall) in 2011

Defenseman:

#84 – Derek Forbort – first round (15th overall) in 2010
[Update – Andrew Bodnarchuk put on waivers]

The Kings now have 29 players remaining in camp. They’ll need to get down to 23 before Opening Night.

For now, the focus and attention will turn to this weekend’s games in Las Vegas – Friday vs. the New York Rangers and Saturday against the Colorado Avalanche.
