Final roster for Kings 2013 Rookie Camp and schedule info

September 4, 2013 By John Hoven

Two weeks ago we published a probable roster for the Kings 2013 edition of Rookie Camp, and now with the official list made available form the team, things look pretty much as expected.

The only real difference compared to what was previously posted is the late addition of defenseman Marcus McIvor – an invitee, which we reported yesterday on twitter.  And, of course, the absence of goaltender Martin Jones due to a contract impasse.

Here’s the official roster…

#79 – Justin Auger – fourth round (103rd overall) in 2013
#58 – Matt Campagna – free agent invitee (5-foot-11 forward, 19 years old, Sudbury Wolves leading scorer)
#53 – Robbie Czarnik – third round (63rd overall) in 2008
#48 – Maxim Kitsyn – sixth round (158th overall) in 2010

The highlight of this year’s camp will be two Rookie Games against the Ducks.  Game One will be on Saturday, September 7 at Honda Center.  It is free and open to the public.  Game Two is scheduled for Monday, September 9 at Toyota Sports Center  in El Segundo.   Tickets are required for the game at the Kings practice facility and are limited in quantity.  They can be purchased upon entry to TSC for $5, with proceeds benefitting the Los Angeles Junior Kings Hockey Club.  Both contests are slated to begin at 6 p.m.

Although the full slate of practice times has not been revealed, it is at least known that the Kings prospects are scheduled to practice both Thursday and Friday at 10am and 4pm.  Those sessions are free and open to the public.

Rookie Camp officially began today with off-ice physicals, testing and meetings.
