Luc Robitaille, Bruce Boudreau, Doug Wilson and more guest on West Coast Bias.
Our brand new show is on the air! West Coast Bias debuted on NHL Network Radio over the weekend and featured a slew of guests from around the Pacific Division. Along with my co-host, Jonathan Davis, we caught up with LA Kings President and Hall of Famer Luc Robitaille, Anaheim Ducks coach Bruce Boudreau, San Jose Sharks GM Doug Wilson, Phoenix Coyotes GM Don Maloney… and if that’s not enough, we opened things up with Elliotte Friedman from Hockey Night in Canada.
Here’s only a small sampling of the topics covered this week:
Anze Kopitar needing to shoot more, Kings v Ducks outdoor game in January 2014, recapping Frozen Fury 2013 and the plans in Las Vegas moving forward, Dustin Penner’s ‘mediocre’ play during the pre-season, Joe Thornton, Patrick Marleau, Dan Boyle, Joe Pavelski, Logan Couture, Shane Doan as a captain, if Oliver Ekman-Larsson is underrated, Paul Bissonnette’s suspension being reduced, Cam Fowler needing to step up, how will Bobby Ryan adjust, can Jonathan Bernier handle the pressure of Toronto, will John Tortorella keep it together in Vancouver, the Colorado Avalanche, Dallas Stars, Chicago Blackhawks, New York Rangers… ok, enough already, give us a listen.
It won’t always be this way, however out of the gates we’re going to share the show in segments (for technically reasons we’re being told, we’ll spare you all the mumbo-jumbo though). They’re presented in the order they aired live, so it should be a pretty seamless listening experience.
SEGMENT ONE – Elliotte Friedman, HNIC
SEGMENT TWO – Bruce Boudreau, Anaheim Ducks
SEGMENT THREE – More Ducks talk, we debate key players
SEGMENT FOUR – Luc Robitaille, LA Kings
SEGMENT FIVE – Doug Wilson, San Jose Sharks
SEGMENT SIX – Don Maloney, Phoenix Coyotes
An all new episode of West Coast Bias will air live on NHL Network Radio next Sunday – and every Sunday! – beginning at 8pm PST / 11pm EST. Hope you’ll join us.
