It’s getting down to crunch time for the Kings’ AHL affiliate in Manchester. They enter this weekend with six games remaining in the regular season and are still a few points out of a possible playoff spot. However, defenseman Nick Deslauriers is among the cast of characters that are trying to push the Monarchs over the top.
Originally drafted by Los Angeles in the 2009 draft, he’s nearing the end of his second season as a pro and has already seen improvement in his goal and assist totals. On today’s show we’ll talk about how his game has developed, where he thinks he’s improved and why.
Plus, he’ll share some opinions on several current and former teammates – including Rich Clune, Derek Forbort, Thomas Hickey, Brandon Kozun, Jake Muzzin, Tyler Toffoli and Colton Yellow Horn.
If that’s not enough, we’ll also talk about his off-ice life in Manchester, get his views about joining twitter and preview a few of the games coming up over the next two weekends.
