MayorsManor First Goal Contest: Game 44 – Blue Jackets at Kings

Somehow, the Columbus Blue Jackets often find a way to be part of an LA Kings story.  Last season there was the Jack Johnson for Jeff Carter trade and the famous clock issue at Staples Center.  This season there was the booing of Carter in Columbus.  But, tonight may be just as big – perhaps even bigger – than all of those stories.  Defenseman Matt Greene is expected back in the line-up for the first time since Opening Day way back in January.

The surgery is behind him.  The rehab is behind him.  What’s in front of him remains the biggest question.  If he’s ready for full-time action though and is the same player he was before, this could be a huge addition for the Kings come playoff time.  His absence this season cannot be understated, thus a successful return could once again forge the team into being a true juggernaut on defense.

As part of our push to the playoffs here on MayorsManor we’re running a contest where one lucky winner will receive a free Fathead of their choice from the LA Kings Stanley Cup collection. STEP 3 – Place a comment below with the LAST NAME of the LA Kings player you think will score first vs. the Blue Jackets (one entry per person, per Kings game played).

In net, Jonathan Quick will likely get the start for LA. and Columbus will counter with Sergei Bobrovsky.
