Great news – Fathead has signed on to give away some more product! So, tonight’s First Goal Contest will be your first of four chances to win an LA Kings Stanley Cup edition Fathead. Guess correctly and you could end up with a 6-foot tall Dustin Brown, Drew Doughty or Mike Richards to put up on your wall.

Despite not scoring in the past few games, Jeff Carter continues to lead the team with more than twice as many goals as his closest challenger.  However, Dustin Brown has three goals in the last two games and Mike Richards scored the last time out – putting him just one point behind Carter’s 19 points and second place standing among the team’s top producers.

With eight goals and 15 assists, Anze Kopitar‘s 23 points lead the Kings in overall scoring.

Some have said that Drew Doughty will score sometime this season. But, seeing is believing.

To get started, simply place a comment below with the LAST NAME of the LA Kings player you think will score first vs. the Sharks (one entry per person).

One person will receive a free LA Kings Fathead – and that winner will be randomly drawn from anybody who places a correct entry in one of four First Goal Contests (tonight vs. San Jose, Saturday vs. San Jose and next Monday / Tuesday vs. Phoenix).

Now, here are the line combinations and defensive pairings that coach Darryl Sutter has been using of late:

FORWARDS

Dustin Brown – Anze Kopitar – Justin Williams

Dustin Penner – Mike Richards – Jeff Carter

Dwight King – Jarret Stoll – Trevor Lewis

Kyle Clifford – Colin Fraser – Jordan Nolan

DEFENSE

Jake Muzzin – Drew Doughty

Rob Scuderi – Slava Voynov

Alec Martinez – Keaton Ellerby

Healthy Scratches: Davis Drewiske, Brad Richardson and Tyler Toffoli (NOTE: There is a possibility that Toffoli and/or Richardson get a chance to play tonight.  As usual, Sutter hasn’t revealed his plans yet.)

Jonathan Quick is expected to start in goal vs the Sharks. In his career he’s made 16 starts against San Jose, posting an 8-4-4 record with a 2.52 goals against average and .912 save percentage. This season, his overall save percentage is .894 – something Sutter bas brought up several times when speaking with the media.
