MayorsManor First Goal Contest: Game 20 – Preds at Kings

MayorsManor Ontario Reign ECHLRelax, don’t be freaked out by the Ontario Reign logo over there on the left side. You landed on the right spot, this article is about the Kings game tonight – and how you can win a pair of Reign tickets.

There’s no doubt the Predators are a stingy team. In two games between LA and Nashville this season, the Preds have allowed only one goal in regulation. That was to Dustin Brown, who yesterday said, “With a goaltender like (Pekka) Rinne, you’ve got to get in front of him and make it hard for him.”

In that game, Brown also put one past Rinne in the shootout – as did Mike Richards and Anze Kopitar.

However, the Kings came up short in that one, losing 2-1, and then didn’t even score a goal in the re-match a few weeks later in Music City.

Will they break through tonight? And if so, who will score first for LA? Guess correctly and you’ll have a shot at winning a prize from MayorsManor.

To enter tonight’s First Goal Contest, simply place a comment below with the LAST NAME of the LA Kings player you think will score first vs. the Predators (one entry per person). We’ll take all of the correct entries and pool them together. From that group, one random winner will get a free pair of tickets to this Wednesday’s game in Ontario between the Reign and Las Vegas Wranglers.

Before we get to the line-up coach Darryl Sutter is expected to use, two quick items to pass along:

– Alec Martinez will play tonight in place of Davis Drewiske

– Jeff Carter has 14 points (seven goals, seven assists) in 13 career games vs. the Predators

Healthy Scratches: Davis Drewiske and Brad Richardson

Jonathan Bernier is expected to start in goal.  He’s won his last four starts this season, only giving up a single goal in each one.  The 24-year old netminder is also 6-1 lifetime vs. the Preds, with a 2.00 goals against average.
