Word Association: Five on Four, Kings vs Blue Jackets

As part of our preview for tonight’s Kings v Blue Jackets game we played Word Association with five Los Angeles players, asking them to react to the names of four Columbus players. Like usual, these were all done one-on-one, so no player heard what the other guy said – which is interesting when you compare their answers…

Rob Scuderi on:

Brandon Dubinsky – sandpaper
Jack Johnson – talented
Adrian Aucoin – veteran
Steve Mason – solid

Mike Richards on:

Dubinsky – hard worker
Johnson – former teammate
Aucoin – pass
Mason – big

Drew Doughty on:

Dubinsky – hit Scuderi from behind
Johnson – don’t want him to score against us
Aucoin – heavy slap shot from the back end, have an eye out
Mason – off side goaltender, we can get a few by him

Jeff Carter on:

Dubinsky – one of those guys you just don’t like out there
Johnson – strong, solid
Aucoin – been around for a while
Mason – big, athletic

Dustin Penner on:

Dubinsky – New York
Johnson – shitty music
Aucoin – A-squared
Mason – cement
