Several LA Kings players said they didn’t have redemption on their minds when playing the Anaheim Ducks on Monday, despite a 7-4 loss at the Honda Center earlier in the season being perhaps their low point of the year.
What does that have to do with tonight, you ask? Well, a recent last second loss in Detroit has been pointed to by many as the game that seems to have turned the Kings recent fortunes around. However, LA didn’t earn a point in that game and earlier today Sutter talked about hoping that lone face isn’t the difference between making and not making the playoffs in a few months.
So, tonight is a big game, for sure. But, aren’t they always against the Red Wings?
As part of our pre-game coverage we asked five members of the Kings organization to play some Word Association using the names of five Detroit players. Like usual, this was all done one-on-one, so nobody heard what the other guy said – which a tad bit interesting when you compare their answers…

Towards the end there, Daryl Evans started to remind me of Drew Doughty 🙂 I like how “Word” association turns into “In 10 words or less, describe how you feel about this guy” with some of the people (Cough cough Doughty cough cough)
The only way Strollsy’s final answer could be more confusing is if he said, “Fasth”
