MayorsManor First Goal Contest: Game 13 – Kings at Blackhawks

It’s another day game on Sunday, so we’re posting this contest a little sooner than usual to give everybody proper time to place their entry.

Jeff Carter didn’t score in Friday night’s LA Kings win.  However, he still holds the team lead with seven goals.  With an assist in the game, Anze Kopitar now has the overall points lead with eight.  And a friendly rivalry might be brewing between the two, something they talked about here.

Fear not though, they aren’t the only two players you can pick for Sunday’s First Goal Contest. Mike Richards and Kyle Clifford scored in the last game,  plus you can choose any of the other forwards like Simon Gagne, Dustin Penner or Jarret Stoll.  There’s also six defensemen if you like your offense from the blueline.

For anybody new to the scene here, this contest is easy to enter – simply place a comment below with the LAST NAME of the LA Kings player you think will score first vs. the Blackhawks tonight (one entry per person). We’ll take all of the correct entries and pool them together. From that group, one random winner will win the t-shirt pictured.
