As promised, here’s the interview we recorded last night with Kings captain Dustin Brown – just before he headed to the mound and threw out the fist pitch at Dodger Stadium.
We covered a wide variety of topics, starting with his recent trip to New York and a visit to the 9/11 Memorial. As you’ll hear him describe, it was a special moment to be there honoring Ace Bailey and Mark Bavis. He also tells us about the NHLPA meeting that took place this week – where he was joined by fellow Kings players Jeff Carter, Kyle Clifford, Matt Greene, Trevor Lewis, Alec Martinez, Brad Richardson, Rob Scuderi, Jarret Stoll and Kevin Westgarth.
Then came the real news. Brown told us where he might be playing during the lockout.
Finally, we ended with some light-hearted fun…a little Dustin Penner talk, followed by some classic one-liners about Drew Doughty.
