Time for more quotes from some of the post-skate conversations recorded this morning. Here’s Kings captain Dustin Brown…
Thoughts heading into tonight – “Excitement. The opportunity is there for this team and it’s up to us to go out there and grab it and run with it. It’s exciting for a lot of guys in here, this is the first time we’re experiencing a game like we’re going to play in tonight and we have to be ready to go.”
On how he’s helping to keep things loose right now – “I just sit back and enjoy most of the guys. It is important though because it’s a very serious time for this hockey club. As serious as it is, we still need to have real fun moments. We’re in a high intensity environment and pressure. Day in and day out, to have some comic relief or to just be able to not talk about hockey for a few minutes a day is great. We have a real good group of guys, so it’s pretty easy to find something funny to talk about.”
Who’s been keeping it light the last few days – “The usual suspects I think. I spend a lot of time with Scuds, we drive together and stuff like that. So, Scuds, Greener, Dewey – but, I don’t think he does it on purpose. (lots of laughs) I think Dewey is the number one humor provider and completely by accident.”
For those who don’t know, Dewey is Drew Doughty.
