Canucks at Kings game four – First Goal Contest

April 18, 2012 By John Hoven

If you’ve been following along today on twitter and/or facebook, you’re pretty much up to speed on the roster situation for both teams.  If you’re out of the loop though, here’s a few nuggets…

– Brad Richardson will return to the Kings line-up tonight.  He’ll play left wing on the fourth line – along side Colin Fraser and Jordan Nolan.

– Kyle Clifford took to the ice today for the first time since being rocked by Byron Bitz last week.  Kings coach Darryl Sutter didn’t elaborate much on his condition, nor the status of rookie Andrei Loktionov (who injured his ankle/foot in game three).

– The Canucks have confirmed they’ll be going with Cory Schneider in net tonight.  So, the guy who took them to game seven of the Stnaley Cup Finals – Roberto Luongo –  is sitting on the bench?  I tried getting some comments from Luongo after Vancouver’s morning skate, but all he said was ‘I’m not answering questions today.”

As usual, MayorsManor will host a First Goal Contest tonight and just like we’ve done for the first three games of the series, we’ll be giving away a Dustin Brown autographed puck. If you’d like to enter, simply leave a comment below with the LA player you think will score first vs. the Canucks. All correct answers will be pooled together and one random winner will be selected.

Feel free to pick any LA Kings players, other than Clifford, Loktinoov, Kevin Westgarth and Davis Drewiske – they’ll all be out of the line-up tonight.

Good luck!

REMINDER – this contest is separate from the other First Goal Contest, where you can win a team signed stick or jersey.  Check out the details of that contest here.
