Blues at Kings game one – First Goal Contest

By

Kings Blues playoffs MayorsManorBefore we being here, just a quick reminder… If you missed this morning’s MayorsManor show, you should absolutely check out the free replay here. We covered the Blues vs Kings match-up from every possible angle and had a slew of guests on to help us – names like Luc Robitaille, Rob Blake, Ian Laperriere, Ted Irvine, Bob Miller, Helene Elliott, Dave Joseph, Dennis Bernstein, etc. Luc told us which Kings bottom six player he thinks is going to pot a goal in one of the first two games in STL. Blake gave his opinion on if Sean O’Donnell should have put that beating on Geoff Courtnall back in the ’98 playoff series. Lappy boldly predicted which team will win and in how many games. Plus, Irvine compared each team to a popular pro wrestler and threatened to beat coach Hitchcock in an arm wrestling match! I also offered my picks for all of the second round contests.  It’s a can’t miss show, so be sure to check it out.

Now, back to the fun… Game one of the Kings-Blues second round series kicks off at 4:30pm PST. Don’t look for any roster moves from coach Darryl Sutter. However, he is tweaking his line-up just a tad, flip-flopping his second and third left wings. That puts Dustin Penner on the third line with Mike Richards and Jeff Carter – and sends Dwight King down to play with Jarret Stoll and Trevor Lewis.

As usual, MayorsManor will host a First Goal Contest tonight and just like we did during throughout the Kings opening series with Vancouver, we’ll be giving away a Dustin Brown autographed puck tonight. If you’d like to enter, simply leave a comment below with the LA player you think will score first vs. the Blues. All correct answers will be pooled together and one random winner will be selected.

Good luck!

REMINDER – this contest is separate from the other First Goal Contest, where you can win a team signed stick or jersey. Check out the details of that contest here.

  33. I have carter for not only the first goal but for bonus points I have him for for first two

      • When I first put my answer…someone else already put Doughty…so then I picked Richardson…and someone already picked him…that’s why I then picked Greener…you have to pick fast as the posts keep coming!!!!

        • One entry per person and it doesn’t matter if a player has already been picked…as explained in the article above – “All correct answers will be pooled together and one random winner will be selected.”
