On October 11, 2008 Drew Doughty made his NHL debut in the Kings season opener at San Jose.
Fast forward to his 314th game last night and it was another memorable moment for Doughty against the Sharks. About seven minutes into a scoreless game, he had his first NHL fight – taking on 6-foot-4 Joe Thornton.
After one of the most ridiculous plays you’ll ever see in a professional hockey game, Sharks forward Ryane Clowe had this to say – “I have no idea what you guys are talking about. I’ll have to see the video or something. Someone show me the video.”

It all comes down to this. With two games remaining in the regular season, the Kings and Sharks will play each other in a home-and-home series, as the Pacific Division title is yet to be decided. In the four previous match-ups this year, each team has won the two games played on their home ice.
