Kings players talk wearing Dodgers jerseys in warm-ups

Prior to Thursday night’s game with the visiting Columbus Blue Jackets, the Kings wore special-edition Dodgers hockey jerseys during warm-ups. It was sure to boil the blood a bit of Blue Jays super-fan Drew Doughty.
Here’s what a few of the Kings’ players told MayorsManor about the experience…
- Kyle Clifford: “I love the Dodgers. It felt [...]

Tommy Lasorda welcomes Jack Johnson to LA, not really

Doughty and Scuderi talk Kings game at Dodger Stadium

Drew Doughty provided the comic relief on Sunday night following the Kings loss in Anaheim. Yet, it was Rob Scuderi who had the line of the night – and he wasn’t even being interviewed…
- Doughty on it being an ’All London’ game with him, Jeff Carter, and Corey Perry scoring goals: “London breeds good hockey players. That’s [...]

Dodgers GM talks Lombardi, pressure of Kings’ Cup run and more

In 2010 and 2011 we wrote several articles noting the parallel path the Kings and Dodgers were traveling. Both teams were being run by General Managers with ties to the Bay Area and were building from within, waiting to add a few key pieces from the outside when the time was right.

It’s time to out Brad Richardson

Today, Kings’ forward Brad Richardson turned 28 years old.
So, it seems like as good of a day as any to out him once and for all.
Seriously, at his age, he should know better.
Truth be told, Richardson is a front-runner.
And for a guy who fashions himself as the second-best dressed player on the team – behind [...]

Just what is it that has Kings captain Dustin Brown so blue?

Drew Doughty can wear all the Blue Jays hats he wants. His team is still 13 games under .500 and near the bottom of the American League standings.
Dustin Brown on the other hand, he’s repping his Dodger lids perfectly.  Not only did he tweet out a pic earlier this summer showing a handful of new LA hats he had [...]

Interview: Like Jimmie Fox, Jim Fox was a baseball player?

It’s always great to catch up with Jim Fox and last night was no exception. We’ve featured him in text articles, on [...]

Modern Family’s Eric Stonestreet talks Kings and Dodgers

Less than 20,000 people were in the building the night the Kings won the Stanley Cup. Yet, much like the ‘Miracle on Manchester’ stories told decades later, thousands more will likely claim they were there in the years to come. When Eric Stonestreet shares his memories though, he’ll be telling the truth.
A star on ABC [...]
