Press Release: Kings of the Podcast Hits Top 10 on Charts

Chartable.com ranks LA-based hockey podcast in top 10 in sports news category

LOS ANGELES – Kings Of The Podcast, a Los Angeles-based hockey podcast announced today that it is presently ranked in the top 10 podcasts in the Apple Podcasts sports news category. Chartable.com, a New York-based podcast analytics company, placed Kings Of The Podcast ninth overall for sports news podcasts in the United States with the release of its fifth episode.

From the creative minds of “The Mayor” John Hoven (www.mayorsmanor.com) and “DB” Dennis Bernstein (www.thefourthperiod.com), veterans of the Los Angeles hockey scene and members of the Professional Hockey Writers Association, the podcast has enjoyed a great initial reception. With its major focus on the local NHL team, the duo integrates insider information and lifestyle content in the regular offering. Comedian Earl Skakel, known for his “Inappropriate Earl” podcasts and frequent television appearances (Adult Swim “The Jellies” and Comedy Central “Roast Battle”) sat in on Episode Five for a humorous discussion.

“It was a long time coming, but the reception to this project we have received has been nothing short of amazing,” Bernstein said from his Santa Monica office. “Having the success quantified by an independent podcast analytics company validates all the hard work we have put in to launch this content.”

“The LA hockey market is underappreciated and under-served,” Hoven said. “To have this strong of support in just the first month of our new project is a true testament to the passion of the fanbase in Southern California. We couldn’t be happier or more appreciative of the positive response Kings of the Podcast has received thus far.”

Chartable also ranks Kings Of The Podcast (www.kingsofthepodcast.us) fifth in Sweden and 17th in Canada in Sports News. for Apple Podcasts. A spinoff of the Kings Of The Roundtable video series produced the last two years, Kings Of The Podcast is available on all major distribution platforms including Spotify and iHeartRadio.
