Puck Probability: Odds for Bruins at Kings, December 2

Bruins coach NHLLike the Blackhawks game last Saturday, several Kings players and fans circled tonight’s matchup on the calendar when the 2014-15 NHL schedule was released, as this is generally considered a benchmark game. Interestingly, neither club has played up to their full potential thus far.

Regardless, we’re always here to help. And with that in mind, we asked Boston native Jimmy Murphy, host of Top Shelf Radio Show on NHL Network Radio, to join us for this edition of our Puck Probability series. Buckle up, as several of the following things just might happen…

Odds by MayorsManor:

4:1 – Dwight King and Kyle Clifford will each spend one period on the Anze Kopitar line.

7:1 – Jonathan Quick will earn an assist on one of the Kings’ goals.

28:1 – Jarret Stoll will have two assists and score in the shootout.

65:1 – Bruins coach Claude Julien, pictured, will bang on the glass and scream something at Kings bench boss Darryl Sutter, who will later claim he had no idea what his Boston counterpart was saying.

700:1 – Bruins forward Milan Lucic will duplicate his efforts from his first-ever trip to Staples Center, where he had a Gordie Howe hat trick (including his first NHL goal).

Odds by Jimmy Murphy:

3:2 – A Bruin whines to the referee.

5:1 – Bruins have lead after 1st period.

10:1 – Bruins score first goal

300:1 – Jordan Nolan and Brad Marchand fight

500:1 – Brad Marchand scores goal and promptly puts a crown on his stick mocking the Kings.

27,000:1 – A fan wears a split Kings/Bruins Jay Miller jersey
