AUDIO: West Coast Bias on NHL Radio – Cam Fowler and Justin Goldman

Don’t worry – we’re back. We know you need your hockey fix!

West Coast Bias was live on NHL Network Radio Sunday night, once again broadcasting from the Honda Center in Anaheim.  Jonathan Davis and I were talking hockey for two-hours, covering all the latest news and notes around North America.

As you’ve come to expect, we had a few guests drop by to join the conversation. First up, fresh off their 3-2 win over the visiting Edmonton Oilers, Ducks defenseman Cam Fowler made his first visit to the show. You won’t want to miss his comments on teammate Emerson Etem, coach Bruce Boudreau… or the story he told about what Teemu Selanne and Ryan Getzlaf had him do when he was a rookie.

Later in the show, Justin Goldman of The Goalie Guild helped us take a look at an epidemic sweeping the NHL – backup goalies are taking over everywhere. He shared keen insight on Kings rookie Martin Jones, explained what the Ducks should so with Jonas Hiller (and why), plus talked about a top prospect you’ll want to know about later this month.

Among the myriad of other topics we debated and discussed were – HBO’s 24/7, Brian Burke, the Penner Cup, Calgary Flames, Chicago Blackhawks, Jonathan Toews, Vancouver Canucks, San Jose Sharks, St. Louis Blues, Colorado Avalanche, Craig Anderson, Toronto Maple Leafs, Claude Giroux, Ryan Miller, Nick Bonino, Bobby Ryan, Ryan Getzlaf, Corey Perry, Montreal Canadiens, Philadelphia Flyers, Daniel Cleary, Detroit Red Wings, Alexander Ovechkin, an injury to Jimmy Howard, trade rumors, Linkin Park, Urijah Faber and plenty more.

One more note before you check out the replay of this week’s show… reminder, we’re giving away a free Fathead to one lucky listener (retail value of $100). Entering is easy, just send an email to westcoastbias.com and tell us your favorite NHL team. That’s it! The winner will be drawn on Tuesday, December 17, 2013 and they’ll get to select from hundreds of different Fatheads in the NHL collection.

Now on to the show…

HOUR ONE – Cam Fowler, game reviews, etc.

HOUR TWO – Justin Goldman, the Gordie Howe Hat Trick of the Week, etc.

Next Sunday we’ll be back with an all new episode of West Coast Bias on NHL Network Radio starting at 8pm PST. Hope you’ll join us. In the meantime, if you’ve missed any of our recent episodes, check out the links below.
